The practice of printmaking was passed down to me from my grandfather, a woodworker and printmaker, and my father, a muralist. Every year my family would hand-carve and print cards to send to family and friends, and it was this tradition of making art that could be sent to people around the world that I was particularly captivated by - that each print, while pulled from the same block, was unique. I now operate a small printmaking practice, Heartwood Prints, and show my work at art fairs and galleries.
